Q. Where do your source your products?

A. We are not resellers. Our precious metal beads and jewelry components are made by local silversmiths at our workshop in central Bali. Stones and other raw materials are purchased from local suppliers. Every Kartini Studio product is individually handmade and therefore unique.

Q. What is sterling "silver" and "gold vermeil"?

A. Pure silver is too soft to hold its shape under the stress of daily use, so silver in jewelry is made of a combination of 92.5 percent silver and 7.5 per cent of a copper based alloy, known as "sterling silver." Our sterling silver products are hallmarked with a "925" stamp, except for beads which do not have the space for a 925 stamp.

Gold "vermeil" is sterling silver plated with 18  - 24 karat gold to a thickness of at least 2.5 microns. We use 22 karat gold.

Q. Do you sell Bali beads wholesale?

A. Yes. Please contact us for pricing information.

Q. Can you make custom beads and logo beads?

A. Yes. In both instances we first need a graphic of your design to see if the project is possible. If it is, then we start by making a unique mold from which custom beads are individually made.

Q. How are your bracelets and necklaces strung?

A. The bracelets are strung with 0.8mm - 1.5mm silicon stretch cord, which is much stronger and more durable than elastic. The  necklaces and clasp bracelets are strung with stainless steel wire. The crimps and clasps are all sterling silver.

Q. How long does shipping take?

A. Express shipping takes 4-6 days. Standard shipping takes 7-14 days. Orders for beads, bead bracelets, bead necklaces, harmony balls and perfume bottles normally ship within 24 hours. Order for custom made sterling silver bracelets, rings, and necklaces usually ship after about 14 days depending on the order specifics.

Q. What is your return policy?

A. All items can be returned within 30 days of receipt. Items should be returned in the same condition as received. We have a no quibble refund policy. The return address is: Kartini Studio, Jln Raya Sukarno, Pejeng, Bali 80552, Indonesia.

Q. My bracelet doesn't fit. What can I do?

A. Simply return your bracelet to us and we will remake it at no extra charge. The customer would be responsible for return shipping costs. It is recommended to check your wrist measurement before ordering a bracelet if you are unsure of your correct size.

Q. Do you have a physical store?

A. No, we only sell online. At the moment there are no plans to open a physical store.
